Jessica Huaman, Communications and Engagement Specialist at KidsPeace wanted to celebrate the whole employee - pets included.

For National Pet Month, she launched a company-wide pet photo contest that brought associates together in the most heartwarming way. Employees shared photos and fun facts about their pets, and the photos were featured on their Kudos platform.  

The results? A flood of heartfelt stories and 40 amazing entries that had everyone talking. PLUS a local pet gear company donated prizes for winners.

KidsPeace turned a simple contest into lasting cultural glue. KidsPeace's story shows that authentic engagement often starts with genuine, human moments.

Recognizing all aspects of employees’ lives - even their furry family members - builds community that lasts.
